Shahid Kapoor made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with Ken Ghosh's commercial and critical success, 'Ishq Vishk,' a campus comedy-cum-romantic drama. The film launched the actor's career, and he went on to appear in some of India's most memorable films, including Jab We Met, Padmaavat, and Kabir Singh, to name a few. After 20 years, the actor's debut film is finally getting a remake. Tips Films Official announced the sequel to Ishq Vishk, titled Ishq Vishk Rebound, starring Hrithik Roshan's cousin Pashmina Roshan, who makes her Bollywood debut. Aside from her, the film also stars Jibraan Khan, a child actor from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Rohit Saraf from Mismatched, and Naila Grewal.

Shahid Kapoor posted a story on Instagram wishing everyone involved with the project luck. He included the Tips Films Official post in his Instagram story and captioned it, “20 years later....#IshqVishkRebound.” He then tagged all of the actors and parties involved in the ambitious project. Getting validation from the original star of Ishq Vishk will undoubtedly boost the morale of the young group of actors hoping to make it big in the film industry.

Ishq Vishk Rebound will be released in 2023, exactly 20 years after the first installment, with new faces and an exciting and modern-day story. In terms of work, Shahid Kapoor will next be seen as a con artist in Raj and DK's upcoming web series Farzi, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Raashi Khanna.
