Hi all, first "post" here :)

I'll be traveling to Japan for a 2 week holiday in 3 days time and I plan to buy many figurines from Akihabara and Nakano Broadway before I return to Perth, Australia. I'll be traveling light whilst there so will only have a small suitcase with me. I however do have a 30kg limit for check in luggage so I can bring back a fair amount of stuff. So I'm wondering what would be the best cost effective way to bring the figurines safely home?

I think I read somewhere here that buying a 2nd large suitcase whilst in Japan to bring the figures home with is a good idea. I also thought of packing a box like as if it were to be mailed to Australia but will be checked in at the airport.

Any suggestions guys, or is the buying 2nd suitcase idea the best?

Also I'm planning to visit the Toyosato, Shiga which is where the K-On! Anime was based, has anyone been here before and has any tips, advice?
